On Wednesday, January 24, a group of our junior high school students and high school students participated in a study visit at the ThinkingZone school in Gdansk.
Non-public Primary School Thinking Zone, formerly operating in the formula of junior high school, aims to teach thinking and prepares for life in the global world.
In Thinking Zone the student is the most important – he is responsible for the process of independent learning. The teacher is a guide who helps, supports, trains. The school is located in Olivia Business Center – a prestigious and vibrant business center located in the heart of Gdańsk. There are no traditional desks, blackboards and chalk. Many classes are conducted in the form of workshops.
We had the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops on creativity and critical thinking, run by junior high school students. Our students participated very actively in the classes and creatively coped with all the exercises. We set a task for them to prepare similar workshops and transfer the skills learned to their classmates.
ThinkingZone students have been preparing lessons for their colleagues as part of a three-day project. In our opinion, they have done great job with the preparation and execution of the workshops!
