UPBRINGING THROUGH ART

THEATRE

The theatre is exceptional reality for children where everything can happen. During theatrical classes the child can be the art audience and its creator as well. The child acquires the skills how to behave on the stage, react and express itself.

But one of the most important effects of theatrical education is abstract thinking stimulation and development. Playing theatre in school activates the pupil’s imagination, shapes interests and stimutates the mind.

The development of speech , words used correctly and careful diction are the crucial aspects
od theatrical plays. Preparing the next scenes a child learns how to believe in its own strenght, it gets to know its own abilities and develops skills.

LITERATURE

Preparing a child to use the books one should not only choose the good readings but also leading the discussions about them. But above all one should tighten the everyday contact with them. The need to be with literature is not spontaneous , one should awake it in children.

Belles-lettres- poetry and prose – as one of the art domains serves behavioral and therapeutic fanctions in child’s education.

Reading provides experience and afterthoughts which affect not only emotions but also shape the personality.Books entertain, amuse, move and terrify. A child identifies with the favourite character, feels sorry for the sufferer and looks forward to the victory of good against evil.

Literary classes – listening , and then reading demand the appropriate children’s work with the text. The poetry and dialogues interpretation ,eploying the appropriate expressions, pace, intonations, pauses and accents – these are those exercises which provide children with esthetic experience making them sensitive to language beauty and improving their literary taste. Delivering and staging the poems or their favourite fragments of the books extend the vocabulary – the scope and understanding.

In child’s life and then in an adult’s life music plays a very special role and it has an enormous impact on its emotional development. It develops cognitive processes and sensitivity ,and it also serves the therapeutic purpose. The musical tasks ,approprietly chosen , shape attention intensively , develop memory and the team work integrates the group affecting the social interactions positively.

Musical education activates all pupils regardless of their revealed musical talents .

The movement to music – the rhythmics and dance classes – is not only one of the most pleasant and cheerful form of musical expressions shaping orientation, reflex and movement memory fast but also improves circulation and provides oxygen to the organism, contributes to the overall physical development and prevents the posture defect.

Musical activities have direct influence on thinking and memory development. The therapeutic factor is also very crucial – being with music decreases children’s tension, anxiety and fears.

ART

In the field of art each child is a born artist and it can achieve a very high level spontanously. The child is pleased with the opportunity of showing creative activity. At every age children perceive something in art something that gives them joy. They seek the possibility to create beauty and they find it around us.It is each man’s inner need.

Art class is an essential element of upbringing – it improves esthetic senses sensitivity, shapes tastes, brings up the child for future audience, a man feeling the need to commune with art.

Thanks to art the child not only expresses its thoughts and emotions but also satisfies the need to express itself ,and creative activity leads to self-realisation. Drawing, painting, modelling, sculpting and constructing ,except developing dexterity, have an enormous impact on child’s creativity, it stimulates the imagination.

EDUCATING THROUGH ART

Communing with art from the very early age , active and creative, influences cognitive processes effectively, namely all human brain abilities allowing to get to know the surrounding world and record and process information about it in mind.
